Poem
This Is Just To Say
by William Carlos Williams
I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox
and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast
Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

Forgive me

I have left
a comment
about this post
on your blog
though it's
not very
original
is it
Forgive me
that's what passes
for wit
on my empty stomach

I was about to comment that I always liked that poem from ol' Doc Williams. But now I think I like Stew's better. And I wish I had thought of it first.

Stew, Eat some plums.
HM, I like it too, almost as much as the one about the white chickens next to the red wheel barrow. I actually posted it by accident. I was trying to post it to my CLASS blog to bribe them with some extra points for memorizing poetry, but somehow logged into this one instead. Once I saw it up, I decided it could stay.
